Vince Porter, who advised three Oregon governors on economic and public policies, is joining Cambia Health Solutions to serve as its Oregon government affairs director.
Porter will join Cambia’s Public Affairs and Policy team to promote initiatives that ensure Oregonians have reliable access to affordable, quality care during a period of great uncertainty and rapid change in the nation’s health care systems. In his role, Porter will also work with the Governor’s office, legislators and state agency leaders to support innovations and technology that build a person-focused, economically sustainable health care experience.
“As a 100-year-old company headquartered in Oregon and reaching 70 million Americans nationwide, Cambia is deeply invested in our home state and in prompting ideas and policies that produce healthy Oregonians and a thriving economy,” said Sean Robbins, Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Policy. “With Vince’s experience and relationships across Oregon, Cambia will serve as an engaged partner in important civic conversations on health care access, quality and cost and on the economy, jobs and tax reform.”
Before joining Cambia, Porter served as the policy advisor on jobs and the economy to Govs. Kate Brown and John Kitzhaber. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Film and Television under Govs. Kitzhaber and Ted Kulongoski and as Vice President of Production at Showtime Networks.
