Focusing on shaping the future of health care, the Health Evolution Summit crosses boundaries and connects industry leaders. Recently more than 500 executives, innovators, policy makers and investors took part in candid conversations to align interests, and help one another to uncover solutions to health care challenges.
In a series of video interviews at the Summit, Cambia’s President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Ganz and Echo Health Ventures Rob Coppedge shared their perspectives on how the health care system is transforming.
Mark spoke about the need to walk “more than a mile” in peoples’ shoes, so that health care can understand what consumers need, and adapt. Mark said, “All too often health care institutions don’t ask (what matters to people) that. They aren’t curious enough.” He went on to share Cambia’s focus on getting to the bottom of what consumers are asking for from their health care system, and transforming Cambia’s culture from the inside out by bringing in experts from other consumer-focused industries to make health care a more seamless experience.
Rob spoke from a venture capitalist perspective, sharing that “We have gone from the rhetoric of innovation… to where innovation is really possible.”
