SXSW is best known as a digital festival that celebrates interactive consumer innovations, film and music. In the past few years, the conference has taken on health care with notable figures such as former Vice President Joe Biden, who challenged entrepreneurs to join his efforts to cure cancer, and strategic investors, who have invited the SXSW innovation community to help solve health care problems on behalf of people.
Because SXSW is a community, the process to select speakers and topics for next year’s event is done through community voting called the SXSW PanelPicker. To hear how thought leaders and experts from Cambia and other leading organizations are transforming health care to improve consumers’ experiences, we encourage you to help bring innovative ideas to SXSW 2018.
Cambia submitted the following session this year:
Palliative care is much broader than end-of-life care. In this session, learn how philanthropy, health plan design, and machine learning are being deployed to strengthen the palliative care workforce and improve the experience for people with serious illness. These combined efforts are empowering seriously ill people and ultimately improving their quality of life.
SXSW will allow the online community to vote for this proposal from August 7 to August 25, 2017.
Each voter can vote once per proposal – selecting “arrow up” for yes or “arrow down” for no.
