Cambia employees pledge $1.3 million in annual giving campaign to benefit community nonprofits
Whether it's feeding the hungry, serving military veterans, or helping an abandoned pet find a new home, Cambia Health Solutions' employees are giving back to the communities where they live and work through the company's annual employee giving campaign.
In the recently completed 2012 campaign, Cambia employees have pledged more than $1.3 million to nearly 1,550 nonprofits. Combined with a 50 percent match from Cambia Health Foundation, more than $1.9 million will be distributed to support communities in the region and across the U.S.
"Nonprofit organizations serve a vital role in supporting the many needs that we face as a community," said Mark Ganz, president and CEO of Cambia Health Solutions. "As an organization, and as individual employees, we appreciate the opportunity to join in this effort and we are sincerely thankful for the great services that our local nonprofits provide."
Cambia's employee giving campaign is an annual event where employees can donate to an eligible nonprofit of their choice, and via Cambia Health Foundation, those gifts are matched at 50 percent. Sixty-five percent of company employees participated in this year's campaign, which is nearly three times the national average for employee giving.
Over the past five years, Cambia and its employees have donated more than $7.7 million in total to nonprofits across the nation through its employee giving campaign.
