Six states, countless acts of service
Whether in markets Cambia has served for decades or those joining us through our 2026 health plan affiliations in North Dakota and Arkansas, employees across all six states share a common thread: making a difference in the communities where they live and work.
From bringing meals to homebound residents in Idaho to reading aloud to kids at local Boys & Girls Clubs in Arkansas, our teams are rolling up their sleeves and showing up in ways that matter. Here’s a look at recent employee volunteering events across the country.
Arkansas: Teaching kids that all feelings matter
Through a longstanding partnership with central Arkansas Boys & Girls Clubs, our teams are helping students build essential mental health skills. At a recent event called Color Your Feelings (pictured above left), volunteers read books like “The Color Monster” and “The Rabbit Listened,” then led discussions about identifying emotions and healthy coping strategies. Each child received their own copy of the book and created scratch-art bookmarks. The goal: Help kids learn that all feelings are normal and there are healthy ways to manage them.

Idaho: Serving up comfort and community
Each month, a team of employees serves breakfast to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho located in Boise. Since opening in 1988, the House has provided a “home away from home” for families with children who are receiving care at nearby hospitals.

North Dakota: Continuing a tradition of generosity
North Dakota employees have a long history of supporting United Way of Cass-Clay through volunteerism. From payroll pledging to fundraisers like bingo, food truck events and silent auctions, our employees show up year-round for the communities we serve.
That spirit of generosity earned our North Dakota team a 2025 Philly GOAT Award for Most Generous Workplace (pictured). The team is carrying that tradition forward with a $100,000 campaign goal to benefit United Way.

Oregon: Lighting the way in the fight against blood cancer
A group of Oregon employees came together for October’s Light the Night, supporting Blood Cancer United’s mission to find cures and improve lives.
Walking side by side with survivors and supporters as lanterns lit up the evening sky, the team showed Cambia’s commitment to health extends well beyond the workplace.

Utah: Building community, one food box at a time
Our sales team volunteered at Granite Education Foundation’s annual 9/11 Day of Service event in the Salt Lake City area, packing 841 weekend food kits for students impacted by food insecurity.
It’s a small package with a big impact. Granite distributes about 5,000 of these kits every three weeks, ensuring students have what they need when they head home for the night or weekend.

Washington: Preparing kids for success
Back-to-school season brought volunteers to Communities In Schools of Tacoma’s annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive and block party. Our team helped pack backpacks, greet families and support the community vendors who make this event so special. Together, the team helped distribute 1,200 backpacks to students across Pierce County.
At a separate event with the same organization, volunteers filled a jar with hand-written affirmations and motivational quotes. Students at a Tacoma school can grab a note whenever they’re having a tough day or need a little inspiration.
At Cambia, we’re proud of our employees who choose to give back — and excited to see how they continue to serve our communities across the U.S.
